This coat hits all the notes this season for effortless evening dressing. Although we pride ourselves on not following fashion it is impossible to overlook the Metallic and Knit trends sweeping the catwalks this year. It took Carina three years to perfect this Knit and there is no doubt her perseverance was worth it! Fully reversible Feather Light Weight 100% Baby Alpaca with Metallic Lurex in Silver or Gold woven through.

By some stroke of genius one side glitters with subtle sparkles peeking through the soft Alpaca. Hints of the full glamour of the reverse side show along the edge of the front of the coat which rolls out gently giving a beautiful line, front detail and reveals the full metallic inside. As you move flashes of the full metallic through the side slits that start just below the hips and we like to fold over the sleeve which has been knitted a little longer to give a full metallic edge to the cuff if you so wish!

Our labels inside have been sewn on ever so gently and all seams covered with metallic knit so that with some careful snips and quick as a flash you can rock a full metallic look which will liven up your festive seasons wardrobe no end! Special orders are available and you can choose a specific color or full length...Perfect for summer weddings or any evening do. Our Matching tops and dresses complete the outfit or of course a pair smart trousers and heels are a perfect complement.

The companies we work with are constantly improving the alpaca fibre through breeding practices and educating small farmers who still own the majority of the Alpacas population throughout the Peruvian Andes. Alpaca is unique in that it’s silky and soft yet incredibly strong and durable, we only use the best quality 100% baby alpaca. This does not come from actual babies but rather the new growth from the adult Alpaca. The added advantage of baby Alpaca is that the fibres are very long and unbroken therefore once woven into yarn the fine hairs remain within that yarn preventing pilling. This adds to the longevity of all our products. Alpacas are shorn in the summer months and Peruvian woman still divide the soft baby Alpaca from the courser Alpaca exposed to elements.  Alpaca has its unique thermal property due to adapting to extreme temperatures of living in such high altitude, throughout the year temperatures are freezing at night and very hot during the day. The fibre has evolved with microscopic air pockets within it which, allows it to be breathable on warm days but at the same time yet traps body heat in cold weather. It is also elastic, non flammable and resistant to odour. Part of the process in our workshop is to wash each of our pieces so they come to you in their softest most perfect form.

Peru is renowned for its outstanding cotton quality. Fibres can be more that double the length of standard cottons, which add to its softness and durability. Many Peruvian plantations still harvest the cotton by hand, hand picking leads to fewer imperfections leading to a softer finish. We only use 100% organic Peruvian cotton, which is environmentally responsible.
